The Sequel to the Very Wednesday Post

By Luddie
Good day to you! Likely you'll read this on Thursday or some more distant day, but as the situation stands, it's Wednesday. ;)

Today started off rather average and progressively got better. The goodness started with my history reading assignment. I was prepared to do it solo, but just as I was getting start, Dex made the random comment, upon entering the room, that Katy and Erin were also doing the assignment, downstairs. Sweet! thought I. So we got it done fast because three people are faster than one.

Then, I attended my first real meeting of the Webb Society. This is essentially LeTourneau's chapter of a national history geek club. Well, that's putting it negatively, which it really isn't. This time Dr. Coppinger (who is way cool) came and talked about graduate school stuff. I actually learned a whole lot, asked questions, and filled a paper with notes. Definite good things to keep in mind; thank you Dr. C!

And *then*... ::drums roll:: *the* highlight of the evening for me...

I came back, made a sandwich, started thinking about my music reviews I had to write, when I found on my desk the complete lyrics and chords (with capos and everything) all perfectly worked out, for the songs I'll be singing on Friday. This was just another thing I had to think about, wondering if I could even presume to play some of these songs (two I've still never played before!)

And there they were, sitting on my desk, ready to go... Coda, our pianist did it. He is a piano whiz and an awesome guy and I think he was a little put off by how I gushed at him soon after for doing it. I really am so so appreciative; it was such a load off my mind. I still can't believe how it is coming together, despite the general craziness that is this week. Will be a lot of fun.

Then I ran over to G2, hoping to catch the last of the devos, but all I caught was the last of the chocolate chip cookies (ahem! :D ). Come to think of it, I went straight from there, to the Hive, where Slope, Karen, Coda, Ian and I intended to get milk, to finish up our cookies... isntead I got grapefruit juice... I don't know how on Earth I had a mind for grapefruit juice after eating cookies...

So anyway, that was today. I am officially over the hump for the week, the prospect of spare time is shimmering on the horizon... but before that I have to write 3 music reviews and an editorial. So tata!
