That Funny Feeling
Leaving college wasn't so hard last year and suddenly was harder this year. And then this bored feeling comes along. It's getting better as the days pass, but I just think it's kinda funny that I went away thinking I was the only one feeling that way. And yet in a combination of blogs, emails, IMs and conversations... pretty much all of my LETU friends have expressed similar thoughts. Maybe that's random of me, or very obvious to you... but I just thought it was kinda funny that we pretty much *all* felt the same way. :D
My little brother is currently engaged in the most humorous activity of playing UT2004. Unreal Tournament usually is a pretty funny game to play, but in this case all the bots look like badgers. Yes, he is running around, being chased by fat, cartoon-ish badgers with rocket launchers and multi-barreled chain guns. Too funny.
My mom comes in.
"Your character is a girl?"
My little bro replies, "yeah. And I'm shooting badgers."
Mom watches the action for a minute. "A girl would *never* shoot a badger."
:D

Last year, it was a relief for me just to get away from campus for a while. I got lonely soon enough, but it took a few days. This time, I was lonely before I left campus.
Maybe this is a sign that 2004-05 was just a better year than 2003-04. I dunno.
Be my guest. :D
**deploys his Marshmallow Gun of Doom and begins pelting Michaela with miniature marshmallows**
Well, I know that putting an asterisk on either side of a word is the old-school way to indicate bold.
Thus, I could say, *Believe me, I am not a nerd.* And that would be emphasized.
The double colon has no grand history, either in English or computer circles. At the risk of exposing my very geeky past, let's just say I enjoyed chatting with fellow fans of Star Trek and you use the double colons to indicate an action.
I have also seen the left and right carets (sp?) used, but those interfere with HTML code. Because, well, they are HTML code.
And now, not to disappoint, my 6-page essay.
