Luddie's Former Life ;)
Houston, the Shiny has landed.

a bit of business

I went down to the registrar and added/dropped until my schedule was what I wanted for the fall.

I added History of the Modern Middle East and dropped Life & Teachings of Christ and added Literary Criticism. Which means... I'M ADDING AN ENGLISH MAJOR! WOOOOHOOOO!!

Yeah, I'm excited. I talked to Dr. Coppinger about it and he brought up some very good points and was generally very helpful, as always. Bolt also gave me his extremely unbiased opinion.

We were at Saga, eating lunch.

"An English major will allow you to take courses that expose you to a wide variety of modern thought for the last few hundred years. That's going to be valuable whatever you do."

I laughed.

Bolt replied, "What? I'm serious."

"That's what's so funny," I thought, but didn't say. :D

I remembered Aduma smirking at similar comments a few days earlier and saying, "Ludwhig, why don't you do something useful?" Bolt smirked. "What, like computer science?"

"Possibly."

***********

It's been cool to meet some families from far away. I got to meet Fuego's family, from Germany. There's a whole family of them, wow. And Igloo's folks. And his girlfriend Danae, actually. A few times this year Igloo was talking to her on the phone and randomly said, "Hey Danae, this is Ludwhig," and handed me the phone. We said hi and then Igloo snatches it back and goes back to random talking. Family and friends...

And apparently I have a following of high school girls in Alaska. The wonders of being in a ridiculous duct tape man movie. Uh huh. Riiiiiight. ;-)

Why *of course* it was a good Christian thing to do. Apparently the class was full and Dex was interested in taking it. After I dropped the class on BuzzNet this morning, that opened up a slot so that my dear dear beloved roommmate could get in.

::beats Dex with a green noodle::

But yeah, how ironic... I drop a class on the teachings of Christ so that I can take a class on how to criticize texts... :D
