The Very Wednesday Post IV
I finally did my spanish presentation today. I settled on talking about James Dewar, the inventor of Twinkies, and then decided at the last minute not to, since there is little to no information about him on the internet.
So instead I talked briefly about Jack London. Went OK, I thought.
I was sick today. The weather was totally gorgeous, but those blue skies had pollen fluttering about in them. I went down to the nurse for medicines, and got some nice pills. Which reminds me I should take another...
I have two very crucial tests in the next 5 days... the kind that make or break a class in the semester. It's always nice to think that a class is the sum of its parts, and that each little part doesn't affect the class terribly much... but at this point these two tests are that important. :|
Spanish and American history.
Texas history was also this week, but that test was easy for some reason. I had longer to study and I wasn't sick.
I keep thinking today is Thursday because I want one of those Thursday night one-dollar lattes. :D one more night...
I was cruising around on Rhapsody and I found an old gem I'd never heard before: The Sound of Silence, by Simon & Garfunkel. The song was pretty and my jaw dropped when I read the lyrics. They're sad words, but very poetic.
Had fun taking out my guitar a few days ago and playing the song on the berm. You can actually achieve a degree of privacy there if you go out on the side of MSC facing away from the bell tower. I went up top, leaned against a tree and played. Was one of the most peaceful times I've had in a long time.
Meh, but I'd better get back to studying. Where is that middle ground... where you can not worry about something and yet still pursue it relentlessly until you know you're done.

There will come a day.
